Wet rock does not need cushioning, it needs edges. A flat rubber skin has one large smooth contact patch, and a film of water under it behaves like a bearing. Lugs break that film into small pieces and give the water somewhere to go.
The toe box does the other half. On uneven ground your toes are the part that grips and corrects, and they cannot do it clamped into a point. Give them room to spread and the correction happens before you notice you needed it.

Nice flexible breathable footwear that has a nice wide profile that can be used for multiple activities like weightlifting at the gym or just getting around on an off day to using at the beach or lake or even hanging around the pool. I’m flat footed and these feel great for me as they feel nice and level so I really enjoy these and they also look cool and are super lightweight I feel barefoot mostly I love it! So I do recommend you getting a pair just because.. just get you some 💯
True to size and can’t beat the price and quality
These barefoot shoes are amazing. True to size, super comfortable (easy to slip on and off but very secure once on). AND ..... the sole is very flexible. 10/10 highly recommend
Both. It is built as a water shoe, with drainage and lugs, on a barefoot last: wide toe box, low flexible sole. That combination is the whole point.
Ease in. Feet that spent years in narrow shoes need weeks to adjust, not days. Short sessions at the water are a gentler start than a long walk on land.
Honest note: If your feet ache after a long first outing, that is the adjustment, not a defect. Build up gradually.

Yes, that is how most people wear them in the water. For a long day on land, a thin toe sock reduces rubbing until your feet get used to them.
Rinse in fresh water after salt or river silt, then air dry out of direct sun and away from a radiator. Heat is what kills the glue in any shoe.
